 Please see photosThe Vintage Hammered "Day to Night" Convertible Hoop Earrings designed by Paloma Picasso for Tiffany & Co. are a great example of 1980's bold functional luxury.

They are highly sought after collectors' items because of their clever multi-wear design. The earrings feature a clever two part modular construction. The top section is a thick, chunky half hoop that can be worn entirely on its own as a subtle day accessory. Add the interlocking bottom ring to create a dramatic, dangling statement drop. I have also slipped the solid ovals onto a chain or cord and worn them as spacers between charms or just on their own as beads. Please see photos.

Famously finished with a heavily hand hammered texture, the earrings catch and diffuse the light much differently than standard polished gold. Crafted from solid 18k yellow gold, these pieces carry the typical heavy, substantial weight characteristic of Paloma's early 80s work. Engineered with high-end French omega clip backs to securely support the weight of the earrings.
