Antique Etruscan Revival 15k Urn Earrings

Gorgeous Etruscan Revival jewelry from the mid to late Victorian era, specifically around 1860 - 1880, was inspired by archeological excavations in Italy. Jewelry designs such as these 15k gold earrings, often featured three dimensional amphorae shapes reflecting ancient, classical and Etruscan themes.

Most likely English in origin, the amphorae hang from 18k fish hooks.

They measure 1.75 inches from the decorative button at the top the tip of the amphora

Weight is anvery comfortable 8 grams together, 4 grams each

In pristine antique condition, still together after close to 150 years, the pair show  no dents or damage. They must have been reserved for special occasion and stored safely in a jewelry box.
