Vintage Tiffany Sterling Silver Cable Necklace with Padlock and Clasping end links

A classic and collectible piece of vintage Tiffany & Co. design — this Sterling Silver Cable Chain Necklace is as wearable today as the day it was made, with the unmistakable signature of one of the world's most iconic jewelry houses.

The necklace features 18 inches of chubby, round cable links — each measuring approximately 10 mm in diameter with a 3 mm thickness — giving it a satisfying weight and presence on the neck. The open-ended design is finished with a removable Tiffany Padlock closure, stamped with the designer's signature, along with the 925 sterling silver mark.

The Padlock is as functional as it is beautiful — link it into any of the cables for a lariat-style look, wear the chain and padlock long, or detach the padlock entirely and pair it with other chains in your collection. My favorite is to detach the padlock and use the two clasping link ends to make one seamless chain of super chunky cables.

Condition: The chain is in excellent vintage condition, clasping links are secure and the surface of the links is shiny with little or no wear in evidence. The padlock shows pin prick sized wear, but the signature, which appears on both sides, is clear and crisp. There is no discoloration. The locking mechanism works well and is secure.
