Vintage Tiffany & Co. Sterling Silver Curb Chain with Signed Shackle Closure

A rare and collectible find — this vintage Tiffany & Co. sterling silver curb chain is one of only two Tiffany shackle pieces we have ever encountered. The second, styled with an antique chain, is also available on our website.

The chain itself is a beautifully proportioned open-ended tight curb, with links measuring approximately 5mm in width,  and a high-polish, high visibility, Tiffany style. It measures 18 inches end to end, it sits elegantly at the collarbone.

The star of the piece is the signed Tiffany & Co. bolt screw shackle — a bold, working closure, measuring approximately 1 inch by ¾ inch. Stamped with the designer's signature, the shackle functions as both a secure closure and a statement element in its own right. Worn alone, it gives the chain a nautical, high-style edge. It can also be used to hang a pendant or charm, making this an exceptionally versatile piece.
